Volunteering

We ask that Moonstone families volunteer at least 8 hours every year. Every September, each family has the opportunity to fill out a volunteer form and indicate their interests in volunteering. Parents can volunteer in many ways, including but not limited to chaperoning field trips, snack pick-ups, being a guest instructor, assisting teacher during conferences, etc. For more details, please speak with the director / assistant directors.

Annual Dinner & Auction Fundraiser

As a non-profit, Moonstone relies heavily on contributions from our annual fundraiser to support our missions. Our live auction & dinner, as well as our online auction are organized entirely by Moonstone Parents & Administration. The event has successfully raised funds for the preschool since 2010. Online Auction Our online auction is hosted through Charity Auctions Today, which provides an online platform for non-profits to create and organize accessible fundraising events. Our online auction is a great way to get distant relatives, friends, and community to support our cause! Dinner & Auction Event The dinner and live auction is held every April and hosted in a new venue every two years. The three hour event is divided into silent and live auction. We have an amazing auctioneer and the evening is quite special!

How to Help

  Join the Auction Committee This event would not be possible without the help of of our fundraising committee. This committee is open to all parents and board members. Various levels of commitment are welcome. Our online auction is hosted through Bidding for Good, who provides an online platform for non-profits to create and organize accessible fundraising events. This is a great way to get distant relatives and friends to support our cause! Soliciting & Sponsorships We lean on our community at large to solicit auction items and sponsorships. Our goal is to collect between 200-250 items to auction off. Some families or business’ prefer to sponsor our annual event through cash donations. (All donations are tax deductible) Attend our Auction & Dinner Tickets for our auction & dinner go on sale each February and can be purchased through our Online Auction homepage. Ticket includes admission to the event, dinner, & open bar. Sponsor a Staff Member This an opportunity for participants to help the Moonstone teachers attend the event for little to no cost. You can purchase a ticket for a Moonstone Staff Member through our Online Auction homepage.

Tile Fundraiser

Get your hands up! Donate $100 to Moonstone Preschool and have your child’s hand-print permanently installed in the school! We have collaborated with the Expressive Hand, who donates all the ceramic tiles and supplies. Please speak with administration for more details.

United Way

Moonstone, as a 501(c)(3) organization, has just registered with United Way Southeastern Pennsylvania Donor Choice Program!! We’re encouraging parents whose employers are participating in the United Way donation drive to designate their gift to Moonstone Preschool to support our programs, building, and scholarships.
