Moonstone’s Financial Assistance
Moonstone Preschool strives to make its educational programming available to all, regardless of income. Moonstone has two programs available for Financial Assistance: Hardship Support and Tuition Assistance. If your family has a short term hardship that makes it impossible to cover Moonstone tuition, please speak to the Director about the availability of Hardship Support.
Requests for Moonstone’s Tuition Assistance are due with the enrollment application. Admissions decisions and Tuition Assistance determinations are made completely independently of one another. Accordingly, you may find that you are accepted for admission but not granted Tuition Assistance.
Request for Tuition Assistance can be submitted in paper form or electronically. Please contact the school directly for more information. Families must first apply to CCIS before being considered for Moonstone’s Tuition Assistance. For additional information, please see the application on page 7 or contact the school directly. Moonstone does not discriminate in the administration of financial aid policies because of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, or age in violation of existing state or federal law or regulations.
Subsidized Care Information (ELRC)
The state and federal governments have made funding available to assist qualifying parents in meeting their childcare expenses. In Philadelphia, subsidized childcare is available for working families through Early Learning Resource Center.
Moonstone gives preference in the enrollment lottery to families who qualify for ELRC subsidy, but the number of subsidy spots is limited by space and available funds. Application fees are waived for any family who qualifies for subsidized care. Upon accepting a spot, the required deposit amount is based on the ELRC co-pay.
If you are concerned about the cost of quality childcare, ELRC may be able to help. Working parents may be eligible for assistance with childcare expenses if they meet the income guidelines. Log on to elrc-csc
